Eighteen homes in El Limonar, Málaga, 200 m from the beach, in four buildings: two historic villas from 1939 and 1948, restored, an older building renovated inside and out, and one new building. Five are for sale, with two to four bedrooms and 93 to 245 m² built. Delivery is planned for the second half of 2027.

The oldest villa was designed in 1939 by the architect Antonio Rubio Torres; its carved wooden doors, hydraulic floor tiles, ironwork and wooden bay windows are kept. A second villa, from 1948, is listed in Málaga's catalogue of protected buildings. The new building has homes with large terraces, and some with a private pool and jacuzzi.

Residents share two pools with views over the city and the sea, a rooftop, a gym, a social area and a chill-out area. There are 19 parking spaces with electric-car charging.

Inside: Macael marble or wood-look porcelain floors, Siemens kitchens, Porcelanosa bathrooms and aerothermal climate control.

An honest take on this development

From the developer's price list, payment plan and documents, and what I know of the area.

Key insights

  • El Limonar is one of Málaga's established residential neighbourhoods, between the beach and the hills, 10 to 15 minutes from the historic centre.
  • Homes inside restored villas from 1939 and 1948, one of them a protected building, with original features kept.
  • Two pools with views, a rooftop and a gym shared by only eighteen homes.

Take my advice

  • Restored buildings keep their character, and their quirks: ceiling heights, window sizes and room shapes follow the original house. I'll check the plan of your home with you before you reserve.

  • The homes differ a lot from one building to another, so I'll tell you which building each available home is in.

  • Before you visit a sales office, tell me first: I'll arrange the visit and come with you, so you have someone on your side until the keys.
